Apply for a License

In accordance with the authority vested in the Insurance Authority (IA) under the provision of the Insurance Authority Law - issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 32) dated 2/6/1424 AH, and the provisions of the Cooperative Insurance Companies Control Law - issued By Royal Decree No. (M / 32) dated 2/6/1424 AH, which refers that IA shall carry out the regulation of insurance companies and licensing.

Types of licenses:

  1. Insurance and/or Reinsurance.
  2. Branches of Foreign Insurance and/or Reinsurance Companies.
  3. Insurance Intermediaries (Insurance broker, Reinsurance Broker, and Insurance Agent).
  4. Insurance Aggregation.
  5. Insurance Service Providers (Insurance Consulting, Loss Adjusting and Assessment, Insurance Claims Settlement, and Actuarial Services).

Application Process:

The applicant shall submit an application to IA using the License Request Form, complete with all information including prerequisite documents and files before submitting the application via email: (lic@ia.gov.sa). If any changes occur to the given information by license applicant prior to IA's decision on the application, the license applicant shall notify IA as soon as possible.
