Nicolaos Andreas Nicandrou
Board Member
Mr. Nicolaos Andreas has been a Board Member of the Insurance Authority since
2024. He holds an ACA from the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales, and a BA in Engineering Science
with First Class Honours degree from Oxford University.
Mr. Nicolaos is experienced executive of
nearly 40 years in Financial Services, including 20 years of leading
strategic, operational and finance transformation across the UK, Europe, Asia
and the US.
He
most recently held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Prudential Asia
& Africa, and prior to this was Group CFO of Prudential plc.
He currently holds the position
of Group CFO, Standard Life plc, and is also CFO of the Group’s
Life Companies. He also is a member of
the Bank of England’s PRA Practitioner Panel.
