The Insurance Authority, in partnership with the Financial Academy, is launching the “Actuarial Science Skills Accelerator" program to develop and empower national talent in actuarial science, and to enhance sector readiness through internationally accredited professional pathways. The program aims to strengthen Saudi actuaries in the labor market and create high-quality career opportunities in one of the most specialized fields within the insurance sector.
The program aims to prepare national talent to excel in actuarial science, supporting the growth and sustainability of the insurance sector, aligning skills with market needs and regulatory requirements, and building a long-term career pathway from entry level to fellowship. The program further enhances expertise in areas such as modeling, applied statistics, financial mathematics, risk management, and insurance applications.
The Authority stated that the (SOA) Exam (P) Preparatory Program will begin on 22 June 2026, while the (IFoA) Exam (CB1) Preparatory Program will begin on 16 June 2026. The program focuses on supporting participants in progressing through the professional certification tracks offered by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) by providing a structured training framework and supporting educational content that help build the knowledge and professional foundation required to pass examinations and advance in the actuarial career path.
This initiative is part of the Insurance Authority's ongoing efforts to develop national capabilities in technical specializations related to the insurance sector, in alignment with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the programs of the National Insurance Strategy, which aims to create more than 21,000 jobs by 2030 and develop specialized national insurance talent. It also strengthens the sector's capabilities and improves operational efficiency in line with the Financial Sector Development Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
