Insurance Authority Highlights the Development and Future Outlook of the Saudi Insurance Sector at Money20/20 Middle East

13 September 2026

The Insurance Authority (IA) is co-hosting Money 20/20 Middle East, taking place from September 14 to 16, 2026, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham.

As one of the leading international platforms bringing together leaders in finance, fintech, and financial services, the event offers an opportunity for the IA to engage and exchange expertise with regulators, investors, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals. Its participation also provides an opportunity to explore emerging trends in the financial and insurance industries and identify opportunities to develop solutions and services that keep pace with the sector's rapid transformation.

Eng. Naji Al-Faisal Al-Tamimi, CEO of the Insurance Authority, will participate in a panel session, highlighting digital transformation in Saudi Arabia's insurance sector and the role of the National Insurance Sector Strategy in driving this transformation.

Through its pavilion at the conference, The Insurance Authority will focus on four key areas reflecting its priorities for developing the insurance sector. These include showcasing the National Insurance Sector Strategy, its strategic directions, and its vision for building a more efficient and sustainable insurance market.

The IA will also highlight its Innovation Lab that creates an enabling environment for startups and entrepreneurs in InsurTech, alongside programs and initiatives that help transform ideas into solutions for market development.

The IA will also present the Risk-Based Capital (RBC) framework, which aligns capital requirements with the nature and scale of the risks faced by insurance and reinsurance companies. The framework strengthens risk management and solvency while supporting companies' ability to meet their obligations. It also supports one of the National Insurance Sector Strategy's promises: increasing the market risk-based capital from SAR 25 billion to SAR 50 billion by 2030.
