The Insurance Authority and the
Saudi Commission for Health Specialties signed an MoU today at the Insurance
Authority headquarters in Riyadh to advance the development of healthcare
practitioners in the insurance sector, aiming to enhance the quality and
efficiency of healthcare services.
The agreement was signed by Eng.
Naji Al-Faisal Al-Tamimi, CEO of the Insurance Authority, and Dr. Aws bin
Ibrahim Al-Shamsan, Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health
Specialties. The MoU focuses on developing processes for classifying and
registering healthcare practitioners in the insurance field, creating joint
programs, exchanging expertise in education and training, and coordinating
efforts in workforce planning and human capital development. It also explores
potential collaboration in research and decision-making support.
This partnership supports the
Insurance Authority’s efforts to regulate the Saudi insurance market,
strengthen its contribution to the healthcare sector, enhance service quality,
raise company performance, and boost competitiveness, innovation, and financial
sustainability. It also aligns with the strategic goals of the Saudi Commission
for Health Specialties to empower healthcare practitioners and support the
healthcare ecosystem, contributing to improved access to care and advancing the
objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030.
