AH, corresponding to 16 February 2025 G – The Insurance Authority has announced
the launch of the “TAMEEN” Digital Services Portal, aimed at accelerating
digital transformation in the insurance sector and establishing an integrated
digital insurance environment. The initiative seeks to enhance the efficiency
of regulatory and compliance operations while enabling companies to access
services digitally with ease and convenience. The launch was marked by a
special ceremony attended by His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of the
Insurance Authority, Eng. Naji Al-Faisal Al-Tamimi, along with a number of chairpersons
and CEOs of insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as representatives
from insurance and reinsurance brokerage firms.
The portal provides insurance
companies with a verity of digital services, features, and categories,
including 22 services related to licensing and approvals. These cover license
issuance and renewal, final approvals for insurance products, regulation of
agency contracts, procedures for branch transfers, approvals for executive
appointments, and endorsement of employment visas for sector partners. These
services contribute to streamlining processes and improving operational
workflows through integrated technical solutions that enhance transaction speed
and service quality. In addition, the portal includes 14 supervisory and regulatory
services that reflect the Authority’s commitment to transparency in all aspects
of its engagement with sector partners.
This launch forms part of the
Authority’s broader efforts to develop the insurance sector, strengthen its
competitiveness, raise the quality of its services, and enhance its appeal to
investors. These efforts are designed to meet the expectations of beneficiaries
and stakeholders alike and to contribute to economic prosperity in line with
the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
